hi, I connected my mobile in Fedora to use a GPRS modem via WVDIAL method.Everything went fine, the phone connects to the Internet but then I am unable to browse or chat or use any Internet application.
I tried troubleshooting, but still it's the same. Net connects but not able to use it
Some Troubleshooting I did;
1) I have Disabled the SE Linux in Fedora 10.
2) Entered the DNS addresses in the /etc/resolv.conf
What might be the problem here?.

Check if you can ping the websites, I guess DNS is the culprit here. Try opendns.

I tried using the following nameservers.
208.67.222.222 208.67.220.220
Still no success.

If it's a DNS problem, then you should be able to ping those IP addresses. Can you? You can perhaps try the OpenDNS servers.
Tried pinging the following IP's
208.67.222.222
208.67.220.220
The ping was successful, but still it reported some packet drops.
And also I upgraded Fedora 11 Alpha from Fedora 10.
Thanks, Gaurav Prabhu

Hi Gaurav, Did you ever try System>Preferences>Internet and Network>Network Connections>Mobile Broadband ?
Try it, it´s very easy to configure your mobile to connecting internet now. I hope, you can figure it out yourself.

Problem solved guys.
I wrote nameserver(s) instead of nameserver in /etc/resolv.conf
An extra 's' was the root of such big headache :(
