Fedora 9 - KDE 4
by Lasith Sameera
After waiting for long time today i have install *fedora 9*. But i was
unsatisfied with the features it provides. It has nice LOOK * FEEL, but it's
functionality is very wee. Any body knows how to over come this issue. Some
times i feel fedora 8 better when compare with UI.

F9: still problem with dual head T42
by gene horodecki
Could anyone help me out? I waited 18 days for F9 to be released but it
does not appear to have fixed many problems with dual heading a T42 with
Radeon Mobility.
I go to 'screen resolution' and unselect 'mirror'. It detects my monitor
fine but does not display seperate views when I apply. When I go to the
video settings and select 'dual head' I cannot press OK and it does not
detect a 'second video card' even though my Radeon 7500 technically has two
ports.. LCD screen and VGA out.
Please if anyone can help. For my development machine I require three
things to be productive; 1) USB mouse, 2) full-size keyboard, 3) dual head.
I don't believe this is too much to ask of an OS.
I don't want to be stuck with Windows XP and cygwin and I like using Linux,
but I must have dual head. Thanks!

D-Link DWA-643 WLAN Card (34mm expressCard support)
by Robin Mueller-Bady
Hello everybody,
i've got a problem with my new D-Link DWA-643 wireless card.
Fedora does recgnize the card (see lspci-output) and also creates a new
device (wmaster0, see ifconfig-output) but there is not wifi0 / athX
available. (There is also no LED flashing on the card)
It works with Back|Track 3 Beta, so i know that it possible to get this
new card running.
My Laptop is a Sony VAIO VGN-TZ11XN (so no possibility to take a
pcmcia-card instead :( )
Here is some output from lsusb, lspci, ifconfig, iwconfig and lsmod:

Someone has an idea how to get it working ?
And by the way, someone is also familiar with the Sony MotionEye
drivers ? :)
Thanks in advance !

Problem booting Xen kernel on T61 with F9 preview
by Joe Desbonnet
I just tried to setup Xen on a recently obtained Thinkpad T61. I've
installed F9 preview (+ updates) and installed the kernel-xen package
etc.
However when I boot via the XEN kernel, the boot process just stops at
"xen is relinquishing vga control" and nothing further happens.
Any ideas?
