I was reading through the logs and noticed that there was discussion of
a Q2 budget allocation. The council has not made any budget allocations
beyond Q1 at this time. Please keep in mind that you are spending your
Q1 budget if you are planning Q2 events now.
If you have events that you want to fund in Q2 before the council makes
an allocation a ticket should be opened with the Council. The council
is looking for details, not just we want $X to go to event Z. Keep the
new mission statement conversation in mind.
I also noticed the conversation about Open Source Summit and the Linux
Foundation. EMEA has a history of getting a free booth at the
equivalent events in Europe. You should talk to them and find out who
they talk too.
If you need me to show up at a meeting, let me know. As they occur at
3am my time, they aren't in my usual rotation :).
