I would like to help getting EPEL7 is a better shape because every now
and them we consider not using it due to outdated packages missing
security fixes.
I tried to go over the steps required to become a packager and was a bit
surprised with the overhead (things not related to getting the creating
the RPM), for a beginner. Do you have any tips to someone just starting
out? Any updated docs that focus on the bare basics to get things moving?
If improving EPEL7 could be broken into smaller tasks that people can do
whenever they have time, I think it'd make things move faster.
