There was a response in: https://www.redhat.com/archives/epel-devel-list/2008-June/msg00164.html
You need to get your package removed by the epel signers and rebuild it once the dependencies are there.

You need to get your package removed by the epel signers and rebuild it once the dependencies are there.
Ah, somehow I missed that reply. So, can we do this? Is there a special e-mail for epel signers? When will epel5.2 be a part of the build system? Why isnt the build system up to date?

I believe they were originally holding out for CentOS 5.2. But it's now out, so it's just a matter of priorities.
