[Bug 1871278] New: dejavu-fonts: FTBFS in Rawhide/F33
by bugzilla@redhat.com
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1871278
Bug ID: 1871278
Summary: dejavu-fonts: FTBFS in Rawhide/F33
Product: Fedora
Version: rawhide
Status: NEW
Component: dejavu-fonts
Assignee: nicolas.mailhot(a)laposte.net
Reporter: tdawson(a)redhat.com
QA Contact: extras-qa(a)fedoraproject.org
CC: fonts-bugs(a)lists.fedoraproject.org,

peter(a)thecodergeek.com
Target Milestone: ---
Classification: Fedora
Description of problem:
dejavu-fonts fails to build on Rawhide or F33.
It is failling to build, in such a way that it doesn't trigger the normal FTBFS
scripts for opening bugs.
Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
dejavu-fonts-2.37-14.fc33 (not really applicaple)
How reproducible:
100%
Steps to Reproduce:
1. fedpkg clone dejavu-fonts
2. cd dejavu-fonts
3. fedpkg build (or fedpkg build --scratch)
Actual results:
Source rpm section of build will fail with
"Unknown tag: %fontmeta"
Expected results:
The package should build.
Additional info:
This is also happening with:
google-droid-fonts
pt-sans-fonts
senamirmir-washra-fonts
stix-fonts

Hello A S Alam, can you please tell me confirm if this is fixed as Parage
Nemade suggests? (or not fixed?)
I will attach screenshots from current f33 live and rawhide boot iso.

Maybe there is no monospace font for Amharic ☹
This makes gnome-terminal look weird in am_ET.UTF-8 locale, see screenshot.
