charset issue with iso-8859-1
by SGT. Garcia
so i got a msg from a friend of mine today with is-8859-1. it's in french
and it's displayed properly in mutt-pager. when i save the msg as a file
though, the resulting file is latin1, according to vim, and iso-8859,
according to file(1). here is the probelm, in vim or when i cat then file
in a terminal that support utf-8, accents look funny. any idea how to fix
this?
oh, btw
set ?chartset
charset="utf-8"
and here is what locale(1P) reports:
LANG=
LC_CTYPE="POSIX"
LC_NUMERIC="POSIX"
LC_TIME="POSIX"
LC_COLLATE="POSIX"
LC_MONETARY="POSIX"
LC_MESSAGES="POSIX"
LC_PAPER="POSIX"
LC_NAME="POSIX"
LC_ADDRESS="POSIX"
LC_TELEPHONE="POSIX"
LC_MEASUREMENT="POSIX"
LC_IDENTIFICATION="POSIX"
LC_ALL=

hex colours
by SGT. Garcia
apparently it is not possible to pass hex/ansi colour codes to mutt.
looking at TODO, i don't see any plans for it either. is this something you
would consider adding to mutt-kz?

Virtual folders in macros
by Suvayu Ali
Hi,
I would like to write a few macros for easy access to virtual folders.
Of course I can always create a query and put it in a macro, but then I
do not have the nice relevant names. To give you an example:
virtual-mailboxes "Topic" "<complicated query>"
When visiting the above folder, I have the easy to read name "Topic" in
the status line. But for the following macro:
macro index,pager gT "<vfolder-from-query><complicated query><enter>" \
"Topic description for help screen"
I have "$nm_default_uri?query=<<complicated query>" as the folder name.
This can be a bit confusing; I have to look at the query carefully to
find out what I'm looking at.
I also never figured out how to enter a text string to <change-vfolder>.
If that is possible, it would solve the above issue too.
Thanks for any ideas,
