I don't think I have such a thing, yet. However, the contents of
installation media of course is in cdrom://Packages/, which is that list.
so i do little more investigation and try to manually generate package
list and it seems i found a bug in revisor. we usually use pxe to
install a new machine and generate kickstart files for the pxe installs.
then convert the pxe kickstart file into iso kickstart file by simple
replacing the "url --url ..." to "cdrom" and then generate the iso
from
this kickstart file. suppose a minimal ks file's %package section
contains only:
--------------------------
@core
@base
-irda-utils
--------------------------
the during the pxe install anaconda do NOT install irda-utils package
(which is what i want) while the revisor generated iso will contain
irda-utils package. why? irda-utils is among @base group's default
packages, but i deselect it.
imho it's a bug in revisor.
i use on rhel 5.4 i386:
revisor-2.0.5.2-3.el5
anaconda-11.1.2.195-1.el5
busybox-anaconda-1.2.0-7.el5
createrepo-0.4.11-3.el5
livecd-tools-013-8.el5.1
pykickstart-0.43.5-1.el5
rhpl-0.194.1-1
squashfs-tools-3.0-4
yum-3.2.22-20.el5
is there any quick fix for this?
ps. at the same time wouldn't it be possible to run revisor only until
"Resolving Dependencies" get the list of collected packages somehow? may
be better getting it from anaconda somehow...
thanks in advance.
regards.
