Hi,
I used following in my kickstart file to set my own background image for a
Fedora 14 based remix.
But it was not changing the default baground image for KDE Desktop. Still
showing Fedora default (default wallpaper of official fedora release)
background Image.
Highly appreciate if you could tell me how to fix this.
gconftool-2 --direct
--config-source=xml:readwrite:/etc/gconf/gconf.xml.defaults -s -t string
/desktop/gnome/background/picture_filename /path/to/your/wallpaper
>/dev/null
btw, I could not find any thing on https://fedorahosted.org/kde-settings/
Thanks,

Hello Spins SIG.
The Fedora Robotics SIG is undertaking an effort to create a Robotics
Spin. The main idea is to have software on a LiveDVD providing a
ready-to-use robotic simulation environment, with a demo application to
introduce you step by step to the available software. Additionally, we
want to add as much robotics related software as possible, ranging from
packages for hardware access (laser scanners, robotic arms) and robotic
middleware frameworks, to full-blown simulation environments and
libraries relevant for robotic applications like vision processing or
task control.
The wiki page is at https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Robotics_Spin.
We are currently working on the kickstart file and aim to add it within
two weeks time. Any comments about the proposal, form, content are
deeply welcome. We have also proposed this as a F-15 feature at
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Features/RoboticsSpin.
Best regards,
Tim, on the behalf of the Fedora Robotics SIG

Hello,
we'd like to start Server spin.
I've already created a spin page[1] and I'd appreciate any feedback from
Spins SIG.
The spin doesn't exactly follow the rules, since we use a script to
generate the kickstart file[2].
Do you think it's appropriate to keep it this way or should I change it?
The reason why I do it this way is, that pungi doesn't pull optional
comps packages in the media kit. Any idea how to work this around
without having an extra script?
thanks,
- daniel

Hello folks!
It has been five happy releases that we ship the Fedora BrOffice.org
Spin and now it is time to say goodbye. For me it is a happy goodbye as
well. Fedora 15 will be shipped with LibreOffice and fortunately we
don't have to worry anymore about trademark issues and lawsuits
therefore I'm obsoleting the BrOffice.org Spin.
I would like to thank Paul Frields and the Fedora Board for conceding
the trademark approval, Jeroen van Meeuwen for the very first kickstart
reviews, Bruno Wolff III for helping on last minute issues for Fedora 14
release, Junior Wolnei for testing the input methods, Rodrigo Padula and
the Brazilian community for supporting this effort and the whole Spin
SIG for wisdom during these two years and a half.
I really appreciate that and you all can make sure that you helped to
solve an important legal issue every release since Fedora 10.
Cheers!
