Is it possible to use LXDE alone?
Of course. :)
I have replaced XFCE by LXDE but i can't see either text or GUI
based
log-in screen.
Known issue: SELinux blocks slim, the login manager.

I just used @lxde-desktop in my kickstart file.
but once i use both @lxde-desktop and @xfce-desktop, i will get the
log-in screen.
This is GDM, the Gnome display manager that is dragged in via the Xfce
group.
but no sounds.. (but can hear sound when i use only XFCE.
Does pulseaudio get started in your LXDE session?
and also i can see gnome/openbox at the log-in screen why is that?
Because gnome-openbox-session and openbox-kde-session are installed with
the Openbox package. I want them do be in a different package, but owner
thinks different:

I need only LXDE.
Then you need to make some modifications: Ether, install gdm or
configure Slim as described at
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/LXDE.
Take a look at my LXDE spin ks to see how this can be done on the
Live-CD:
