Dubbio
by pretore
Mi è venuto un dubbio. Dopo aver scaricato i pacchetti, ho controllato su
http://carolina.mff.cuni.cz/~trmac/fedora-i18n.html
quelli che risultavano ancora non tradotti e ho visto che, ad esempio,
kudzu e redhat-config-date non lo sono completamente. Ho aperto Kbalel e ho
caricato kudzu, ma, sorpresa, tutto sembra tradotto. Cosa sbaglio?
Fatemi sapere.

nuovi traduttori

Ai nuovi traduttori: ho da poco inviato la guida di Sarah per i nuovi
traduttori, se non l'avete letta allora:
lo stato dei pacchetti li vedete a:
http://elvis.redhat.com/cgi-bin/i18n-status
per diventare un traduttore registratevi a:
http://rhlinux.redhat.com/cgi-bin/i18n-signup/
poi per scaricarsi i pacchetti da console fate (dovete avere cvs
installato):
$ export CVS_RSH=ssh
$ export CVSROOT=:ext:NOME_UTENTE@i18n.redhat.com:/usr/local/CVS
(il NOME_UTENTE deve essere cambiato con il nick che vi siete
registrati) e poi per scaricare :
$ cvs -z9 co translate/
questo scaricherà la cartella translate dal server CVS di red hat nella
directory dove avete mandato i comandi.
Quando traducete usate la codifica UTF-8 (consiglio con kbabel) e per
mandare i file .po tradotti fate:
$ cvs commit -m it.po
dalla cartella dove si trova il file it.po tradotto
Ok? Buona Traduzione! ah! una cosa importante: scrivete nella mailing list
i file che vorreste tradurre ok?!

Saluto
by pretore

Hello members of the Italian translation community,
I'm one of the maintainers of the Fedora Translation Project. I have
received a number of queries regarding how to contribute Italian
translation to the Fedora project. I hope this email will help to
clarify some issues.
The current Italian translation status can be viewed on:
http://carolina.mff.cuni.cz/~trmac/fedora-i18n.html
As you may notice, currently there are a number of packages not 100%
translated. This would be an excellent starting point to contribute.
To become a translator, you need a cvs account (I believe many of you
have already signed up one). The place to sign up an account is at:
http://rhlinux.redhat.com/cgi-bin/i18n-signup/
Once you account has been approved, you will be able to check out cvs
module and work on the translation:
export CVS_RSH=ssh
export CVSROOT=:ext:sarahs@i18n.redhat.com:/usr/local/CVS
cvs co -z9 translate/
You would be able to find all files under your translate/ directory. The
files are in po format. You can use any text editor to edit them but I
recommend kbabel because this tool is very easy to use. You can also try
poEdit and gTranslator.
Once files are translated you can commit them back to cvs:
cvs commit -m "some log message" filename
For more information please refer to one of my earlier emails sent to
fedora-trans-list:
https://www.redhat.com/archives/fedora-trans-list/2003-December/msg00001....
Please feel free to ask any questions. I will do my best to answer them.
Happy translating!
Regards,
Sarah
Spero possa essere d'aiuto... Ciao!
