Hi everybody...my name is Enzo, aka "artax" and I am from Rome.
I've just joined the Fedora Project, as you probably already know.
I try not to repeat what I've already written in the international
translators' mailing list, which I think it does reach everybody.
So, let's start off trying not to be boring, it would be a good start.
It took me a while to decide to join the Fedora Project, for a couple of
reasons.
Firstly, I still can't figure out how much time will I be able to
dedicate to it due to my present situation which is somewhat foggy; on
the one hand, for some reasons, my life still lacks of something like a
schedule which would allow me to roughly define since the beginning my
contribution. On the other hand, the alternative was between to abstain
from trying, that is not trying at all, and step into it and see how is
goes...this mail clearly shows I've picked the latter...
so...I'll try not to disappoint anybody and...let's see what happen; I
think it would take me some time to find my own place and to keep up
with the rest of the team.
more, I've never participated in a Free Software project nor even joined
a mailing list...so...everything is brand new for me at this stage.
Secondly: although I've been using GNU/Linux for quite a while
(Ubuntu)...I've been nothing more than a basic user..only when I decided
to try something different I bumped into Fedora, tried it, found it
great, got to know the Fedora Project and the fedoraonline.it
community..I changed pace...even though I am still a basic user,
something changed in my motivation as I got enlightened by the Free
Software movement as a whole, including all the related issues....all of
a sudden I realized that I got so much from the community...without
participating or giving something back..
That's how I decided to try to give my contribution.
Moreover, as I am trying to learn and to move on, I think to deal with
translation would also mean to work with documentation then to handle
valuable sources which would help me to improve anyway.
ok...that's all for now...
I am looking forward to work with you all.
You find below my gpg key.
Yours sincerely,
Enzo Lalli
