Fedora User Guide
by Petr Kovar
Hi all,
During the docs meeting last week, we discussed deprecating the Fedora User
Guide. This guide has not been updated since F14 (so it still documents
GNOME 2 etc.) and has no active maintainer. There are several bugs open
against the guide, but nobody is working on them.
In the current form, the guide pretty much duplicates end-user help for
individual desktop environments and applications available on Fedora, so I
propose to formally deprecate the guide and close the bugs.
Comments?
Thanks,

Tracking Bugs
by Pete Travis
Trying again. I'm not a fan of the new gmail compose interface...
Let's talk about tracker bugs. As you know, Jaroslav Reznik has been
driving change to the Features process. The new changes process will give
us better information, improved contingency plans, and a more centralized
point of collaboration between groups. You can read more at the links below:
- https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/JaroslavReznik/ChangeProposalTemplate
- https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Releases/20/ChangeSet
<https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Releases/20/ChangeSet%5C>
The new changes process designates a docs contact for each change, probably
the related beat writer. To provide a tracking mechanism for that work,
we're proposing to use bugzilla. I believe they can also be used with
status pages that programatically extract information from the bug.
We're not currently using tracker bugs with our process, but I think it
would help. The centralized view of the varying groups is especially
appealing, and we should do what we can to support these efforts that would
increase our visibility and cooperation within Fedora.
What do *you* think about tracker bugs? How can we best use bugzilla to
improve our work?

Rolling "Managing Confined Services" guide into the Security Guide
by Eric Christensen
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Hash: SHA512
The "Managing Confined Services" guide describes the use of SELinux on Fedora. The guide doesn't appear to have been touched in three years. I'd like to pull this data into the Security Guide and try to get it updated for Fedora 19. Anyone see any problems with combining these two guides?
