Mine are:
* I like the idea of the self-intro.
* I hope the gpg key isn't a bad hurdle for writers and editors who are
new to open source projects.
* The self-intros I've read often show quite a bit about the person who
wrote it, so I think it has some value outside of being purely
informative.

I, too, like the idea of the self-intro. I like the format you have set
out. I don't think that the gpg key should be too big of a hurdle.
It's something that people should get accustomed to using anyway.
