, and also a Fedora
contributor already: my FAS username is achernya. I'll be happy to
serve as contact.
We already sync EPEL:
, I will
double-check that rsync is also configured correctly.
I will look into running the report_mirror script soon; we're
currently planning on increasing our storage capacity, so I'd like to
avoid making too many changes at once.
The mirror itself is on 18/8 only, but all of MIT's address space is

Greetings mirror admins at SIPB, from a fellow alum (6-3 '94).
Thank you for mirroring Fedora. Could you please do a few things to ensure your mirror
is automatically used by Fedora and EPEL users on MIT's network?
1) The only administrator name we have on record is Joe Presbrey (redhat(a)mit.edu). I
don't know if this is correct or not anymore, but suspect it may not be. We would
like to have one or more individual Fedora Account System usernames listed as the
administrator for your server, so we can contact you if necessary (such as this note). If
Joe is no longer the right administrator, please advise, and have someone create a Fedora
Account System account (
https://admin.fedoraproject.org/accounts), and provide us with
that account name so we can add them as an administrator to our database. Once done, you
can edit your mirror's information in the MirrorManager database at
https://admin.fedoraproject.org/mirrormanager/.
2) Can you please create an rsync module for /epel/ ? This will speed up the
MirrorManager crawler immensely.
3) Can you please run our report_mirror script
(
https://git.fedorahosted.org/cgit/mirrormanager/tree/client?h=master) after each rsync
run, so we know what content you have?
4) I've added Fedora Linux and Fedora EPEL categories and URLs to your MirrorManager
database information. I've also added the MIT 18.0.0.0/8 netblock. Are there other
networks or Autonomous System numbers that should be listed for you?
Thanks,
Matt
