Thanks Justin for all the data, very useful. I'll see around those channels
and hope to start making a contribution soon.
I'll speak up if I'm in trouble!
Cheers,
Berenice

Hi!
I'm Berenice and I'm excited to participate for an Outreachy internship
on Fedora's project. This is my first time, so I'm a bit anxious!
I'm on my 2nd year of Programmer Analyst career at FI-UNLP from
Argentina. I've been studying and coding HTML/CSS and Python since last
year, and learning a bit of Django.
Welcome to the Fedora Outreachy mailing list – we're happy to have you
here with us.
I've red your answer to Aakanksha on the mailing list page, since
I have
the same question as her. I'd go through the links you provided her and
will ask if I have any doubts to start. Also, is there any particular
low difficulty issue for begginers?
I hope the links are helpful for you. If you have any questions, feel
free to ask.
I understand that the Outreachy portal has some suggested beginner tasks
for both projects. I think you have to verify your eligibility as an
intern before you are able to view them. We're working on getting those
listed publicly soon, but you should find them in the Outreachy portal.
I joined the IRC channel through Riot (not easy but I landed
:sonrisa_con_sudor: )... is it better to communicate through that
channel than here?
The best channels for you to join for this project on Freenode are:
* #fedora-commops (Riot: #freenode_#fedora-commops:matrix.org)
* #fedora-outreachy (Riot: #freenode_#fedora-outreachy:matrix.org)
I forgot to mention these before, but you can also join these channels
to get an idea of what's happening in Fedora:
* #fedora-apps (Riot: #freenode_#fedora-apps:matrix.org)
* #fedora-fedmsg (Riot: #freenode_#fedora-fedmsg:matrix.org)
#fedora-apps is where a lot of development chatter happens about
Fedora's applications we manage. There's a few bots there that emit
notifications about activity on projects.
#fedora-fedmsg is a "live feed" of all fedmsg activity in Fedora. It's
very noisy so you may not want to stay in it long, but it can be
interesting to get an idea of what's actually coming out onto fedmsg.
Thank you so much!
Thanks for introducing yourself. Let us know if you have any other
questions!
