It looks like it should be possible to use the "pdl" field from the TXT
record to construct a CMD field, yes. We just need to be able to
convert from MIME type names to CMD field names, although there is not
(yet) any standard for CMD field names.
Something like:
application/postscript -> POSTSCRIPT
application/vnd.hp-PCL -> PCL
This would need to be done in the CUPS dnssd backend.
