Hi Aman,
It's certainly a good idea to start adding more languages. We would need
language expertise in order to start working towards addition or more
languages. Should we first list down the languages we think we could do?
OR let's approach some other language mailing lists for further help.
I think both ideas are good. Whereas we can create list of language to
start, which can be easy and direct way, while second approach will
provide more input and data to project (which can be more accurate).
We can discuss this more on irc (currently we don't have dedicated irc
channel for utrrs). Do you think we need to create new one?
Yep, irc channel creation is good. What I am thinking of, is apart from only list of
language, if we can maintain a checklist of fonts, resource, keymaps are available and the
status (if under development) against all languages, those, we are going to list out. It
will help to remember the whole set of whereabouts for these locales, before we proceed.
What you guys think of?
Important question is how do we get more languages added! Thoughts?
Unicode Code
points can be added to start to any language. few work done
for Mongolian, khmer, thai etc languages, but that is really small.
Thanks
