Thanks for the reply.
I had forgotten to mention that SELinux is in permissive mode, so I believe
that it shouldn't affect the traffic. I did however implement the
command; sudo
setsebool -P httpd_can_network_connect true
SELinux status: enabled
SELinuxfs mount: /selinux
Current mode: permissive
Mode from config file: permissive
Policy version: 24
Policy from config file: targeted
Is SELinux in permissive status an issue?
