Hi again:
I truly hope I am not bothering you too much with these mails.
The ERROR lines I found in
/var/log/messages
(of the Cobbler server) for the same time I made the last test --
show this (IP and MAC again altered):
--------
Nov 7 04:15:20 cobber dhcpd: DHCPDISCOVER from 00:1c:c4:k2:0b:31 via
eth1: network 212.72.134.64/26: no free leases
Nov 7 04:15:22 cobber dhcpd: DHCPDISCOVER from 00:1c:c4:k2:0b:31 via
eth1: network 212.72.134.64/26: no free leases
Nov 7 04:15:23 cobber dhcpd: DHCPDISCOVER from 00:26:0e:00:31:bf via
eth1: network 212.72.134.64/26: no free leases
--------
The IP block that is shown (212.72.134.64/26) is the IP block that
the router is on, and some servers, but the the server where CentOS
should be installed in in another IP block (212.72.166.26) [again,
IPs altered]. This worked fine before though, all same network, and
all servers even in same rack.
The "dhcp.conf" file on the Cobbler server looks like this (below).
Do you detect any error here that would cause the "no free leases" note?
Best wishes,
Frank
