Disclaimer I have not done this.
However BIND can interact with AD, this means that all you really have to do is update DNS
which can in turn update your AD.
Keep in mind that AD has two components LDAP and DNS. The DNS can be solved by using
BIND, the LDAP you can edit directly with correct permissions, like any other LDAP.
The issue you will be facing is your Domain Policy which may prevent non-AD aware system
from editing the LDAP. If that is the case you may have to edit the policy or you may
have to look into SAMBA as a DC.

Has anyone used cobbler to create/maintain DNS records for an Active Directory DNS server?
We are developing a Linux NAS server that will run both NFS and CIFS protocols to serve
files so it will be easier to use Active Directory authentication and DNS in this
setting... Sharing any experiences or ideas on how to make this work will be appreciated.
