After adding the system you have done a cobbler sync to generate the
dhcp configuration and reload the service??
Tom, yes indeed, I did.
Let me explain a little more: someone else also on this list was so
extremely kind to help me set Cobbler up on a VPS. This turned out to
be harder than thought, because we could only install "Fedora 8" --
no newer version, as the server's kernel would not allow that, and so
Cobbler 2.003 was installed -- and worked like a charme!
After that I added another two snippets (a variation of the
"partition_select") in order to allow the reformatting of a server's
primary HDD only, while leaving 2nd HDD untouched. It still worked
then .. and I am not really sure when and why it stopped working. ...
But yes, the DHCP file is auto-generated.
