This problem has been around since August 2006. See
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=204396 for the details.
The short version is it works for a little while then it stops working due
to some update. It works again, stops working. repeat. There is no rhyme or
reason to it.

ekiga needs rebuild
by Michel Salim
Probably not worth Bugzilla-ing, but could someone rebuild Ekiga? It
depends on the old version of pwlib, thus blocking the pwlib and opal
upgrade (opal is rebuilt against the new version)
Thanks,

Google's Summer of Code 2007
by Patrick W. Barnes
Google recently announced that they will host the third annual Summer of Code.
The Fedora Project has participated in each of the previous years, and,
unless I hear any strong objections, I intend to lead our participation again
this year. We will be able to apply for participation from the 5th of March
to the 12th of March. I'll be happy to hear any feedback on the subject
until that time.
Of course, if we do participate again this year, we'll need to produce more
ideas for students to try for. Remember that, whether or not the project is
completed according to the original idea, we have nothing to lose, and we can
give these students a great opportunity to experience open source
development.

Default MTA for Fedora 7
by Thomas M Steenholdt
I noticed that Exim is being installed as the default MTA, at least on
the Desktop installation of Fedora 7 test1. Is this change intentional?
I can't seem to find it mentioned anywhere?!?
Thanks in advance

Kernel git repo hosting
by Pete Zaitcev
Hi, Dave, everyone:
I am looking at publishing a git repository for a Fedora kernel fork, and
I am running against the standard quota at people.redhat.com. Specifically,
while space is there (barely), an non-packed repo has too many files. Also,
it's a serious pain to upload the whole repo every time. It takes hours
across my modem. So, I'd like to be able to use rsync.
Do I have any options within the project? I'm not on welfare, I can pay
my own hosting... Just thought to ask because I feel more comfortable
within our own tent.
Cheers,
-- Pete

Kernel bugs dispatch
by Pete Zaitcev
Hi, Dave & Chuck (cc: to DKL)
The old algorithm for kernel hackers when picking bugs was to add davej@
to cc: and reassign. Now that Chuck is online, do we need an adjustment?
I can't add two cc's in one Bugzilla op though... Or can I? Like, over a comma?

Possible problem with yum update.
by George R Goffe
Howdy,
I just ran "yum -y update" and got some messages that, when I investigate them, seem
to point to a link between /lib/modules/linux* kernel versions. I'm enclosing the
whole file but here's an example below. Note the link from the 2911 kernel modules
to the 2895 kernel modules.
Is this a problem?
Regards,
George...

Has yum-updatesd been fixed to actually work? I really hope some work
has gone into it so that we don't end up with the situation like in
FC6 where there are probably thousands of installations that are not
getting updates unbeknownst to their owners:
