I just got about half a dozen "broken dependencies in devel" emails that
seem to be completely wacko, as neither the dependent nor the dependee
have changed lately. Something messed up in the repo maybe?
regards, tom lane
I got a message about cegui having a broken dependency in devel that didn't
seem to make any sense since all of the dependencies in the package referred
to subparts of the package having matching versions. I hadn't changed it
for about a week, so it seemed suspicious that it showed up the day
after the branch.
The dep checker script seems to have detected some bogus broken deps.
We're still tracking down the root cause, for now you can ignore the
broken deps spam.

I'm going to recommend dropping this package from Fedora entirely.
- Upstream seems to have stopped development on it since intel acquired
its developers (opened-hand)
- The new profiling tools (perf) are in many cases easier to use than
oprofile
- oprofileui had a number of bugs that look like they'll not be fixed
(profiling a 32bit target from a 64bit host it broken for eg)
- the package never really got much interest.
(I never heard a single report of someone using it)
if someone wants to take it over from me, I won't stand in their way,
but I think it's better to just drop it.

updates/testing/13 (the 13 dir) does not yet exist, although sure it's
on the list of things to do, or be created once a package has been
built.
Just an FYI...

Next Tuesday, 23-Feb, final development of the Alpha Release Notes will
begin. If you want the Alpha Release Notes to reflect the current
status of your feature, be sure your feature page is up to date by that
time.
Also, I have cleaned out all the beats (except Virtualization which was
already well underway) and placed a pointer to those feature pages that
I suspect are relevant to that beat. You might check to see that your
feature page is there, and in the beat you would expect it.
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Documentation_Beats
If you would like to start adding some prose to the beat describing your
feature, please feel free. Later on writers can do some cleanup, but
you understand your feature better than anyone.
Thanks

Please note that this applies ONLY to packages translated by the Fedora
Localization Project. Upstream projects have different translation schedules
and string freezes.
