yubico-piv-tool & p11-kit

So apparently yubico-piv-tool ships $libdir/libykpkcs11.so*, but this
doesn't get picked up by p11-kit by default. I suspect it has gone
unnoticed largely because for most crucial operations the opensc
module also works with Yubikeys. However, this is not true for all
operations (in particular, in my case, key creation).
How can we make this happen? Is there some intentional reason Yubico's
PKCS#11 module has been excluded?

rawhide: Illegal char '-' (0x2d) in: Release: 3.fc26-pending

Any idea on why this happens when attempting to build in rawhide? Is
the buildroot broken?
$ fedpkg build

The line in question has:
Release: 3%{?dist}
Builds in other branches work fine.

missing credentials

HI, guys,
I have noticed that messages from Kevin Fenzi and Stephen
Gallagher do not load in evolution. So I surmise that I am missing a
credential source or something. Any guidelines... This seems to have
happened when I upgraded from F-24 via DNF if that makes any
difference.
I tried to reply to them privately, but evolution just hung up
and eventually gave me a time out error.

Haskell packaging issue: dnf reports "nothing provides ghc()"

I'm trying to package BNFC, a Haskell program to translate labelled BNF
grammars to lexer and parser specifications for common lexer and parser
generators (Alex, JLex, Flex, Happy, CUP, and Bison). I've tried to follow
the Haskell packaging guidelines. My package builds locally, and if I
install it with "rpm -Uvh --nodeps" it works fine.
However, trying to install it normally with dnf reports:
Error: nothing provides ghc() needed by bnfc-2.8.1-1.fc24.x86_64
Are the ghc rpm macros causing a problem due to my package not actually
requiring any other ghc packages to be installed?

Enable coredumpctl by default. Core dumps will be stored in the system
journal rather than created in the crashing process's current working
directory by ABRT.
== Detailed Description ==
coredumpctl will be enabled by default. Core dumps will now be stored
in the systemd journal, rather than created in the crashing process's
current working directory by ABRT. Currently abrt-ccpp.service
installs its own core pattern to /proc/sys/kernel/core_pattern that
overrides the core pattern set by systemd. We will simply disable
abrt-ccpp.service in the Fedora systemd presets to avoid this. This is
of course only a change in default behavior. It will still be possible
and easy to revert to the previous Fedora behavior by enabling and
starting abrt-ccpp.service, or to traditional Linux behavior by
overriding the sysctl variable kernel.core_pattern.
Note that coredumpctl is intended as a developer tool, not as an
automatic bug reporting tool nor as a replacement for ABRT. ABRT will
continue to automatically report C and C++ crashes to the Fedora
Analysis Framework (FAF), and users will still be able to manually
report crashes to Red Hat Bugzilla using ABRT's Problem Reporting
application. Nor does coredumpctl replace ABRT's ability to catch
non-C/C++ issues like Java exceptions, Python exceptions, or machine
check events. ABRT remains an important component of Fedora, and will
continue to function largely as before as it has support for
retrieving core files from the system journal using
abrt-vmcore.service. However, it must be admitted that ABRT's feature
set will be slightly smaller with abrt-ccpp.service disabled. Notably,
crash-time stacktraces will no longer be available as all stacktraces
will be generated from core files extracted from the system journal.
This could result in reduced-quality for the truncated stacktraces
that are used in FAF and the first comment in Bugzilla, but it will
not affect the detailed stacktraces that are uploaded as Bugzilla
attachments.

We request some assistance from SELinux developers to address an
incompatibility between SELinux and coredumpctl that was introduced in

That version isn't available, at least on RHEL6. I haven't checked
further.
I was happy originally to be assured that this would work for those of
us who don't use Fedora. Can we have an announcement if/when things
work on RHEL6, please.

getentropy and getrandom coming to glibc in Fedora rawhide

glibc-2.24.90-23.fc26 in rawhide is the first version which adds
getentropy and getrandom. (The ppc64 build is still running, but I
assume it will complete eventually.)
The implementation resides in the new <sys/random.h> header. As this is
not a POSIX header, no feature test macros are required. getentropy is
intended for seeding a PRNG (such as RAND_bytes in OpenSSL). getrandom
is the lower-level system call wrapper.
The implementation does not have any protection against symbol
interposition because I could not get that approved upstream. We might
change that before the next glibc release, but in the meantime, we need
to remove all definitions of getrandom or getentropy with external
linkage from applications and libraries. I'll file bugs as required.
(Otherwise, symbol interposition kicks in, and libraries such as OpenSSL
or GNUTLS might not get the symbol they expect, but something else.
Symbol interposition is triggered even by legacy code which does not
include <sys/random.h>, merely by defining a public symbol with the name
getentropy or getrandom.)
