If waiting too long is a problem, set a timeout - send a PR, if it's not merged in two weeks then provenpackager it in.
Waiting for 2 weeks is too much, IMO.
Consider making less urgent changes, then. Provenpackager policy says that you should check with maintainers before applying patches.
