After updating my rawhide machine this morning, gdm won't start. It
comes up and before all the graphics appear all the way, it restarts
itself.
Anyone else seeing this and/or know a fix or work around besides run
level 3?

Same here just restarts over and over.
Got around it by Control+Alt+F2, login as root, kill X, login as
yourself and startx.

Is /var/log/Xorg.0.log saying something that may help?

Is /var/log/Xorg.0.log saying something that may help?
No errors in the log, as with startx it works just fine. Below is
my /var/log/gdm/:0-greeter.log file that may help show something.

I tried adding the timed login feature to gdm to try and bypass the
restarts, so there may be some errors about that in case someone was
wondering.

that when hitting reply, the "Send" Button and the "Attach" button
in
evolution appear, but the icons/text don't.

I've fixed the blank tool buttons.
I doubt that thats the same problem as the greeter, though.

I'm seeing the same thing.
I tried backing out to an earlier version of gtk2 but that was unsuccessful.
So yes, for now it's runlevel 3 and startx which works fine.

built for F-10. Everything else is from rawhide.

Above package does indeed fix the gdm greeter screen, as well as the 2
buttons with no icons/text on them.
Good job on the fix and speediness of getting it out there.
