Too seldom I say what I really feel when it's positive:
F-8 totally kicks ass. It works like a charm on this brand new x86_64
SMP thing, extremely interactive during high load (CFS scheduler I
believe), the new IcedTea java is awesome for being done in such a
hurry. The new theme engine is really good. The new bluetooth and phone
stuff just works (that's more than you can say of ANY other OS/Distro).
Also, and didn't say in time for F-7: I love Bodhi. It's very convenient
and makes you feel a lot better when pushing updates.

Lucky you. I can not get past selecting drivers to use on a
fresh
install before it baffs with a double error or some such. I guess that
means I am on FC7 for now.

Could you be more specific of what is preventing you to do
fresh install/upgrade to FC8? ( "fresh install before it baffs with a
double error or some such ")
Provide us with double error or some such output...
And some HW info and take a look at

I am trying to do a fresh install. I do not do
upgrades. I adjust my grub.conf
to boot the kernel I need so I can do a hard drive install. I get to
select language and keyboard. I then specify that I am doing a hard
drive install when I then get told I need to specify drivers. I then
need to select the sata_sil and sata_nv drivers. At this point I get a
double free error. I cannot proceed further from here.
Provide us with double error or some such output...
And some HW info and take a look at

Fedora 8 worked like a charm on my AMD64 proc and nvidia nForce 4 mobo.
I love the extremely glossy interface right from anaconda to desktop.
Compiz just works out of the box. Remote desktop is pretty simple to
use. Looks like it was made for noobs.
The best thing I would say is Codeina and Pulseaudio.

So, does azureus work OK ?
I have not had success with it. Either doesn't get past start, or I
can't get to the torrent detail screen - the tab where you can see
downloads and completion etc.
