Before I file a bug for this I just want to confirm it is a real bug.
I am an NTL/VirginMedia internet user.
Since FC2 I have been able to connect to the network via dhcp. Since
atleast FC6 (I think also FC5) Network Manager hasdetected the network
automatically.
It is an ethernet connection.
Under Test 4 it is not working. The network settings do have an
adaptor is detected, but it gives some sort of error message. DHCP
does not find the internet. nor does NetworkManager.
I used the default Live CD to test. Also installed it to the HDD with no change,
Is there anything I am missing? What info will I need to give for a
useful bug report?

The report contains the output of ifconfig -a (Both from FC6 and FC7Test4)
My first post here was incorrect - the live cd did not detect an
adapter. I thought it did. Either way FC6 detects the device during
install. Just tested by re-installing FC6.

Is dhcdbd running?
If you have a wireless device, are you one of the lucky few to sometimes
get a device name on boot called __tmp2349873264983274932 or something
similar?
The dhcdbd script had some work done recently and for a few days there
were issues with it cleaning up on exit, so it wouldn't start on reboot.
NM needs dhcdbd.

No, it was about a day that I had a borken script in rawhide. Can't
remember the actual time period though. Test 4 is now ancient anyway.
Rawhide has the right goods.

It is a wired ethernet connection. On the livecd from System >>
Admin>> Services dhcdbd is active, network is not.
In FC6 dhcdbd is not active, network is.
Can't update without the network, so no idea how to test a newer rawhide.
