There you go -- have at it! It would probably be good if you can
produce a draft by Monday evening. We would have to check it, comment,
and finalize before release so you need to plan time for that. Thanks
for volunteering!
Sorry to reply to myself, but Jesse Keating just dropped the following
late-breaking info in #fedora-docs:
14:20 < f13> stickster_work: hey, there are a couple hot items for the
release announcement of test3. 1) if your install method was DVD (maybe
even nfs iso) pirut may crash when you run it with a traceback about
HAL. Dropping to the console and yum upgrading at least pirut should
fix this.
14:20 < f13> 2) knetworkmanager is not functional, but it is known to
not be functional and will be fixed/replaced before F8 final.
Jason, could you confirm that you'll have these in the draft
announcement tonight*? You can post it on the wiki under, say:
http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/F8Test3/ReleaseAnnouncement
Or an equally good or better place of your choosing. :-) Thanks for
volunteering to do this.
P.S. We should *not* put these in the Release Notes at Docs/Beats since
they are hopefully ephemeral issues.
P.P.S. *I know I said Monday night originally, but it's going out
Thursday morning, so tonight would work. Please leave us about 24 hours
to nitpick on it before it goes out, thanks!
