The point of that backend is to provide basic transport to all USB
printers. In fact, all drivers ought to work with the USB backend, and
IMHO any that don't are buggy.
When showing that list, the device URIs are sorted, and "hp"-scheme
URIs are sorted before "usb"-scheme URIs.
