I have seen several commit like this over the last days.
Why are you deleting old branches?

chmsee (was: Re: Mass rebuild status with gcc-4.3.0-0.4 of rawhide-20071220)

I don't know how to fix this one. This is because something changed
from warnings to errors, and those codes are in
gtkembedmoz/gtkmozembed.h which is provided by xulrunner.
The problem is that, gtkmozembed.h should be included before
gtkmozembed_internal.h, but it will define those 3 macros which are
defined in nscore.h which in turn is included by
gtkmozembed_internal.h
BTW, gtkmozembed.h checks for nscore_h__ but nscore.h defines
nscore_h___. Does it mean I should define nscore_h__ myself so chmsee
can be built?
[root@mstar xulrunner-sdk-1.9pre]# grep 'nscore_h__\>' * -R
gtkembedmoz/gtkmozembed.h:#ifndef nscore_h__
gtkembedmoz/gtkmozembed.h:#endif /* nscore_h__ */
stable/nsComponentManagerUtils.h:#ifndef nscore_h__
unstable/gtkmozembed.h:#ifndef nscore_h__
unstable/gtkmozembed.h:#endif /* nscore_h__ */
unstable/nsComponentManagerUtils.h:#ifndef nscore_h__
xpcom/nsComponentManagerUtils.h:#ifndef nscore_h__

Mass bugfix for Tomcat5
by Devrim GÜNDÜZ
Hi,
I tried to review all 37 open bugs for Tomcat5 tonight. Closed 27 of
them, because they are either already fixed, or cannot be reproduced in
the current releases.
Here is the status of the remaining 10 bugs:
1 bug : needinfo (and probably will be closed)
6 bugs : Fixed in current releases and will be submitted shortly.
3 bugs : Will fix later.
I will submit the packages for build in 10 minutes. I'll be happy if you
test the packages and report any problems.
Kind regards,

Mapserver 5.0.0 for -devel
by Devrim GÜNDÜZ
Hi,
I'm about to push mapserver 5.0.0 for F-9. I intend to apply the
attached patch to its java makefile. Is it the correct way to do that? I
did the same issue for PostGIS package last month, and I want to make
sure that I'm not doing something wrong. Of course, spec now
buildrequires eclipse-ecj and libgcj per these changes.
BTW, I just submitted mapserver 5.0.0 to koji for testing, and here is
the related task:

Regards,

Wiki Migration
by Mike McGrath
Ok, I'm just throwing this out there for discussion.
We would like to migrate from Moin to another wiki.
We have yet to find any valid migration scripts that convert users,
histories, etc.
What would YOU say if we made the current wiki read only, and made the
teams and people migrate important relevant content over to a blank wiki
by hand (copy and paste)?
I think this would also allow us to trim up the wiki a bit. So the
question I'm asking is if we decided to go this route. How many of you
would hate the Infrastructure group?

f8 gripe #3: infamous Load_Cycle_Count started hitting my laptop, FAQ?
by Douglas McClendon
Last gripe for the night-
The infamous ubuntu Load_Cycle_Count laptop drive killer issue started
hitting me when I upgraded from F7 to F8.
Google searching for a fedora specific best practice resolution to this
failed me. Any pointers?
Quite simply, what is the prescribed way for me to run 'hdparm -B 254
/dev/sda' upon resume from suspend and hibernate? (or a better solution
than that).

Cannot upgrade from Rel 7 to Rel 8
by casimiro barreto
Hello,
Last week I tried to upgrade from Rel. 7 to Rel. 8. System got stuck
while checking for dependencies. Progress bar goes almost to 100%
and then freezes there (+12 hours). As the box is relatively well
configured (Intel Core Duo, 2GBytes RAM) and as I don't have
problems with Rel. 7, I guess it must be a scalability problem with
the dependency checking in Rel. 8.
If someone had the same problem and was able to fix it, please
suggestions (other than simply reinstalling everything) will be
really welcome.
Best regards and happy 2008 for all !!!

Fedora cvsextras sponsor needed for ashawley
by Konstantin Ryabitsev
Hi, everyone:
Aaron (ashawley) is taking over one of my packages that is already in
CVS (diction). Since he's not submitting a new package, I'm wondering
if someone can sponsor him to get CVS commit status.
Cheers,
Konstantin

This is a report of the weekly KDE-SIG-Meeting with a summary of the
topics that were discussed. If you want to add a comment please reply
to this email or add it to the related meeting page.

= Agenda =
- KDE 4 LiveCD [1]
- kde-settings for kde 4
- development progress: the road to kde4
= Summary =
o KDE 4 LiveCD:
- According to the thread on fedora-test-list the current live image has a lot
of problems. Some of them are related to kde 4 itself (and hopefully be fixed
in the final), some are related to current xserver in rawhide (vesa) and
should be filed as bugs
- KDE-4.0.0 would propably be shipped without composite support enabled by
default (which "fixes" the problem with intel graphics)
- KDE-4.0.0 is scheduled to be tagged tommorrow and to be released on
2008-01-11. After the inclusion into rawhide we should get new live images
online
o kde-settings:
- Upstream has decided to not show desktop icons by default
- Besides default kickoff menu upstream will ship a "simple menu" as an
alternative
- Both things aren't part of current kde-3.97.0 and we should reconsider them
after the final release and we see how they perform
o development progress: the road to kde4:
- new review requests for packages from extragear/playground:
- #427185: Okteta (a replacement for khexedit which isn't ported to KDE4) [2]
- other packages which aren't worked on: Wishlist [3]
- konq-plugins (from extragear/base, used to be in kdeaddons)
- kiconedit (from extragear/graphics, used to be in kdegraphics)
- kcoloredit (from extragear/graphics, used to be in kdegraphics)
- kaudiocreator (from extragear/multimedia, used to be in kdemultimedia)
- kmid (from extragear/multimedia, used to be in kdemultimedia)
- ksig (from extragear/pim, used to be in kdeaddons)
o Other things:
- xsettings-kde: This packages provides a XSettings daemon to allow XSettings
aware applications (all GTK+ 2 and GNOME 2 applications)
to be informed instantly of changes in KDE configuration. It currently is
packaged in kde-redhat-testing repository until it is reviewed and included
in fedora [4]
- Review Request: kde4-decoration-native-quarticurve-kwin - Unofficial port of
the Bluecurve KWin decoration to KDE 4 [5]
