the slow part is the aliases generation.
anyone not using their machine as a mail server really doesn't need
sendmail ;(
("slow" is relative, for me, anything taking more than 0.5 seconds is
slow)
So waiting during bootup for 2 minutes for sendmail to look up it's own
{non-existent} ip address inside a nat network, then another minute for
sm-client to do the same wouldn't be acceptable to you then ?
Glad I'm not the only one who thinks delays above a second should be
improved:
