I think it might be an explicit = in the version requires?
For runtime requires we only use:
Requires: java-headless >= 1.5.0
The other requires quoted above are BuildRequires (see ‘.fc26.src’).
In the spec file we have:
BuildRequires: java-1.8.0-openjdk
BuildRequires: java-1.8.0-openjdk-devel
That seems to be the latest version of the JDK AFAICT.
