FWIW, We *could* use the asciidoctor / asciidoc plugin for jekyll.
Both asciidoctor and jekyll are packaged for fedora.
The only thing that's missing to support that with official fedora
packages right now is a package for rubygem(jekyll-asciidoc).
(Check @package-review, guess which package is waiting there for a review ;))
