If you really wanted to save serious power, you'd stop inducing or forcing
people with less power hungry old systems (i586 ring a bell?) to replace them
with considerably hungrier newer systems. New systems make much better room
heaters than old systems, because they use a lot more power, far more than
one extra watt. Support for old systems == really substantial conservation.
