OK, *somewhat* more than 20 lines. But still...
Oooooh. The Second Life client suffers from this exact problem. I looked
at the fontconfig docs and found them... rather opaque. My approach was
going to be to switch it to render fonts with Cairo rather than directly
with freetype. Example code good...
