foo1, foo2, foo3 -- there is no ordering in the upgrade path, you cannot say
foo2 or newer. From my point of view mangling package names (see
scl_utils) is misuse.
To re-iterate what I wrote before, if you want to be able to say "foo2
or foo3" there is a defined mechanism for that ... all packages you want
to require use "Provide: foo-api-2-or-higher" and you require that.
