If it were only once per minute, it wouldn't be so bad. I see a lot
more than that (on F10; I keep crashing rawhide anaconda so I haven't
checked F11-to-be yet).
Once you're down below once a second it's pretty much noise, assuming
everything's using g_timeout_add_seconds.
