Would it be possible to make this a Prioritized Bug?
It seems to be a classic case of "affects a lot of people, nobody seems
to want to take interest".
Hmmm. I'm not sure it's a good fit. I hope for priotized bugs to be
things we can chase down and get some action on in the near term. This
seems bigger and less specific than that.
