"yum update" with no arguments doesn't break (but openoffice.org-core,
the 88 MiB beast, doesn't have a drpm - why?).

Not sure why you're hitting this bug...I'll try to fix it.
As for not having a drpm doing a plain yum update, there was a bug in
the server code that didn't allow drpms to be made for packages over
70MB in size (because that was the limit on my local server and I didn't
like it running out of memory). I've fixed it, and the drpm should now
be available.
