Added a comment already, probably as you were composing your message. In short, I don't think this should qualify as a blocker -- the problem he is reporting is intermittent and has existed for a long time and the hardware he is using is increasingly uncommon.

2.6.35.6-42.fc14 has the follopwing in its changelog: Changelog * Tue Oct 12 2010 Kyle McMartinkyle@redhat.com 2.6.35.6-42 - Fix devicemapper UUID field cannot be assigned after map creation (rhbz#641476) thanks pjones@.
I haven't tested for that particular issue, but am running that kernel on three machines right now and am not seeing any regressions versus other 2.6.35 kernels.

If we're going to need a post-39 kernel for final anyway could I possibly get you to pull in the patch for https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=641468 ? It makes the touchpad work on my laptop, which is a reasonably popular model, and it's a pretty safe change which has already been taken upstream. I proposed the bug as NTH but it hasn't been reviewed yet.

If by "you", you mean me, I don't have any commit access to kernels, I just like to try out new koji kernel builds right away. I commented on that bug because I noticed the description of the blocker bug matched a kernel rpm changelog entry I had read the day before. But the status didn't seem to take into account the latest kernel build.

I wonder if httpd + mod_ssl isn't broken on F14. It is broken on my machine: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=640959 (most probably a problem in glibc-2.12.90-15.x86_64, at least downgrading glibc* only to the one in F13 fixes it). Perhaps it's like that only on my system? I would be surprised a bit, I think.
