Hi,
I just did an F11 (final images) install on a ThinkPad T61p, where F9 and F10 were installing fine.
Last time I looked the progress bar was at about 75%. When I looked 10 minutes later, the screen was black, the system was still on, but I could only do a hard reset and the install was not completed (at least my /boot partition did not contain the bootloader as requested).
It was not a power issue or so (system was not running on battery).
Any suggestions?
I still have the partly installed partitions (systems also contains a working F9 and F10).

I remember something similar with a previous Fedora upgrade. The system went out of memory in the process and killed something important (anaconda, IIRC).
Solved by running the process again after manually activating some swap space. I think I restored the system from a backup before reattempting the upgrade.
How much this story can be useful to you, I don't know.
Best regards.

The laptop has 3 GB of memory, which should be ok, I hope.
I see in /root/install.log on the installed / partition that the last line says "*** FINISHED INSTALLING PACKAGES ***".
I think I should redo the install and keep an eye on it...

FWIW, I've installed F11 (well Rawhide a couple of weeks before release) on two Lenovo X61's with no problem.

I started the install again, with exactly the same choices etc., and now it works.
I remember that during the first try I accidentally hit the "back" button just after anaconda had done the partitioning. It said that it couldn't go back (which was correct), but the pointer stayed "busy" (i.e. a "clock"), until I had proceeded to the next screen.
So anaconda might have been set to some undesired state and not having remembered the bootloader settings.
