A big problem with evolution is also its crappy imap support. imap to a
large (10000+ emails multifolder imap server) over anything less than a
100Mbit network is almost impossible. On the other hand sylpheed has no
problems with a 128kbit line.
Overall Evolution just needs to die in favor of a more modular approach,
hopefully Dates, Contacts, Tinymail and Evolution-data-server-dbus will
be able to make a decent replacement set of tools soon.
The whole monster groupware application is so unsexy, broken and
bloated.
