Hi there,
I have been following OpenAL soft development for a
while. I have had no chance
to give it a try but it would be a nice thing to give it
a go now for f10 and
see how things work out. How should we go about this? I
have started up a
package some time ago which I could bring up for review
if wanted.
I've been thinking about this for a while, at first I was
thinking that it would be better to just re-use the current
openal package name and cvs module and that thus there
would be no need for a review. But thinking about this some
more I think it would be a good idea to indeed have a new
openal-soft package, which should (hopefully) be parrallel
installable to the regular / obsolete openal.
I think having the -devel packages conflict is not much of
an issue as this is only transitional, evt. openal-soft
should obsolete openal.
Regards,
Hans
