[Change Request] Fix FAS Chinese translation
by Ricky Zhou
Currently, selecting the Chinese translation of FAS causes FAS to
traceback, due to an bug in Python's gettext implementation
(http://bugs.python.org/issue1448060). I'd like to hotfix this by
replacing the Chinese MO file with a newer version. This is pretty low
risk, since the Chinese translation can't become any more broken than it
is now :-)

serverbeach network maint on 2011-05-31
by Kevin Fenzi
There's going to be some network maint on our serverbeach hosts on
2011-05-31. Not sure if we need to send out an outage announcement on
this, or just note it here.
"ServiceID Nickname
70101 serverbeach2
70102 serverbeach3
70094 serverbeach1
Please be advised that on May 31st, 2011 at 00:00-05:00 EST, we will be
completing our planned ServerBeach Network Upgrades that will provide
you with a more robust and scalable network and enable us to better
serve your needs.
This maintenance will last approximately 5 hours, during which your server
will experience up to 5 minutes of network downtime as your gateway is moved
to the alternate distribution routers. Once this is done, we will be
configuring the newer routers and you will see brief periods of latency/packet
loss as we redirect traffic to the newer systems. This maintenance will ensure
that the networking systems are standardized and will allow us to use more
supported commands for configuring and investigating issues at the networking
level."

change request - make robots.txt work on fho
by Ricky Elrod
Wanted to do this before freeze, but never had a chance -- let's get
robots.txt working on hosted1 and try to bring down cpu load and improve
page load times a bit.
Thoughts/+1's please. robots.txt is already there and has been for a long
time, but nothing has told apache to use it, because apache requests go
straight to trac.
robots.txt is set to block crawlers from accessing fh.o/*/browser/* (which
is the trac source code browser) -- as per

Introductory email from Philip / Pip / l7i7
by p s
Good morning all,
I'm Philip, I'm based in the UK. I work in government - I'm a relatively new
Linux user (Just over one years experience) - I'm 26 years old and have
always tinkered about with computers - (Starting 10 years ago, writing batch
scripts in Windows 98) - I then fell out of the way of it, with life getting
in the way - Alevels, University etc..
Last May, I bought parts and built my own computer - and decided to use
Linux so I Installed Fedora 13 - I love the operating system and I love the
OSS community. I think the whole idea behind it is great, I mean, a
collective mind all collaborating together, it works beautifully!
In my spare time I've been teaching myself python (which I'm at an
intermediate level) and more recently C and C++ (Which I'm very much just
starting out in). I have been reading a lot of code and trying to add
features here and there with varying degrees of success if I'm honest. The
purpose of me joining this project is to (hopefully) develop skill, see how
the inner workings of how developers work, and ultimately, to try to one day
provide meaningful contributions.
The way I see it is; If I work hard - in 10 years time, I should be at a
semi-competent level and be able to give something to the community.
More formally, at the minute I'm studying (also in my spare time) for the
CCNA exam. So my skill level and understanding of networks,Cisco IOS,
routing protocols and troubleshooting would be a strong point for me.
I spend a lot of time with linux and just love learning new things. So I
hope to be able to spend a substantial amount of time once I get going. The
purpose of this email is just to say hello, and to perhaps advertise for a
mentor.
I appreciate my curriculum vitae isn't all that impressive at the minute and
that there are a lot of great minds out there - so I just hope someone could
take me under their wing and point me in the right directions.
Well, that's all for now - thanks for reading.

[Change Request] fasClient fix
by Toshio Kuratomi
The hotfix for fasClient that I applied just before change freeze has
a small bug that causes SELinux labels to not be applied to the
authorized_keys files when fasClient runs. I'd like to apply this fix to
the fasClient hotfix:
