Do we know why they were seperated out in the past? Just to spread out
deps? (ie so you didn't have to install deps for all of them if you were
just using one)?
According to the specfile comment it was "split ... into a number of
subpackages in order to facilitate the rise of python3." I'm guessing
the idea was to ship everything except the crypto sub-package as Python
3. Since it's all Python 3 now...
