Can you clarify that SS:
Take a look at the 'legend' on the left.
Is it displaying the total number of Packages on the system or the
number of packages with updates?
Number of packages that need updates.
I assume the number of Errata displayed are the number of applicable
errata.
Yep
What determines "Critical" status?
it basically took
into account the severity of the errata applicable to
that system. Critical means that critical security errata are
applicable. Warning IIRC means that non-security errata apply (bug fix,
enhancement).
Where are the actions pending in that SS?
The icon for
'pending actions' that you see would show up as that
systems icon. In satellite you would see the most 'relevant' icon for
that system. If an update was pending, the pending icon would show up,
if a critical security errata was available, the critical red icon would
show up, etc... Think of it as a checklist that you go from top to
bottom and display the most 'important' icon.
Do you have an example of the colors in use in that view?
I was
just referring to the icons on the left. The critical warning and
okay icons all use color, but still display their intent by their shape.
Not saying we should follow all of these methods, just that its always
good to see how satellite did things :)
