Actually, Galeon and most other things these days can compile against
firefox, but Fedora seems to lack a firefox-devel making such at thing
impossible.
Firefox's build system was a nightmare last I checked. I attempted to
figure out how to get a firefox-devel package built a year or two
back... and gave up.
Isn't this really what we need XULRunner for?
