Uhm, disabling HAL support should not be needed! Actually, locking the HAL
storage daemon when it is running is always a good idea, even when Solid is
not using HAL, because it'll interfere with burning (even if no app is
actually using HAL anymore).
The crashes seen with kdelibs 4.5.90 have been due to bugs in the new Solid
backends. They're fixed in 4.5.95. The HAL support is unrelated to those
crashes. What issues does disabling the HAL support fix?
Also, this kind of announcements is what kde-packager is for.
